Tinker design evolved from a desire to create a product I wanted to use. Fuelled by my curiosity to explore the juxtaposition of artisan craft through fusion with technology, I sought to evoke our senses to deliver a feel good experience.

Thushara Sabreen
CEO & Creative Director

Founded by Thushara Sabreen during her Masters at London College of Fashion (UAL). She is a London based award winning creative innovator, entrepreneur, co author and experienced fashion tech professional. Her experience in fashion from concept through to launch includes over 12 years spanning from working with The Limited - Victorias’s Secret (US), ethical manufacturers: Brandix (Sri Lanka), to working with one of the largest retail suppliers Li & Fung.

Dr. Ashan Amarasinghe
CTO (Chief Technology Officer)

A Chartered Engineer with a PhD in Advanced Manufacturing from the University of Sheffield and  degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Manchester.  Training in product design and advanced manufacturing (The Boeing Company at the first High Value Manufacturing Catapult, in Sheffield UK) Cummins Inc, Rolls-Royce Plc and MAS Holdings Pvt Ltd.  

He offers a diverse knowledge span in Product Design Engineering, Robotics & Process Automation, Advanced Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain Development

Hanadi Jabado

Hanadi is passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation. She supports early-stage businesses across a range of sectors with a focus on healthcare and technology. Her ability to act as a technology translator and to align vision and strategy with operational constraints are key to her high success rate. She is industry agnostic, selecting the ventures she works with depending on the individuals behind the idea and on the quality of the teams they form. She is passionate and committed to the ventures she supports and expects them in return to be dedicated.

Dr Catharina James

An entrepreneur, start-up coach and established expert in nanomaterials technology, particularly 2D materials. Her background is in chemistry (MSc) and materials science (PhD, University of Cambridge) and her experience spans commercialisation of ground-breaking technologies in materials & engineering, product|ion standardisation and innovation management. Her most recent venture develops a pioneering, $250M circular economy plant for an emerging economy.
She has been coaching start-ups on business model, IP strategy and fund-raising as part of the Entrepreneurship Centre at Judge Business School, part of Cambridge University. Catharina’s role in previous ventures earned her the title of "The First Lady of Graphene" [The Telegraph] and one of the eight “Business leaders to watch” in 2015 by UK media.
Catharina is part of a number of academic and industrial Advisory Boards. Her work was recognised by global media and in museum exhibitions. She has been awarded Fellowship of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) in recognition of her role in the design of novel manufacturing systems.

Dr Melanie Flory

A Founding Director of MindRheo, a consultancy intersecting neuroscience, design and systems thinking to develop people-centred business and cultural architecture for organisations-in-change. Prior to MindRheo, Melanie’s academic and clinical career involved working in multi-disciplinary teams across EMEA and USA, specialising in brain plasticity and human behaviour. With a research background in neuroconnectivity, she partners with academia and organisations to research and co-design educational content as well as products and services that enable new learning and behavioural change. She has been neuroscience partner to the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design since 2018, and in 2021 was appointed its first Associate Director, Research.

Anthony Harris

Anthony Harris (MA) Oxon MA (Res) PhD (Cantab) is an entrepreneur, technologist and thirty-year IT industry veteran. After working in systems programming, product marketing and USA product management in the 80’s he co-founded Software 2000 (1989). The company’s OEM software revolutionised colour desktop inkjet printing, and Digital Copiers worldwide.
Tony was twice a finalist for E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year, received the Prince of Wales award for Technology, appeared on UK and USA television and was profiled in the Sunday Times. Software 2000 won four Queen's Awards for Export, featured in Fast-Track league tables and won numerous industry awards. Tony exited via an MBO in 2007. After exiting, he gained an Oxford BA, MA(Res), and has completed his PhD at Cambridge where he also mentors entrepreneurs on the Judge Business School ‘Accelerate’ programme.
Tony is an active business Angel investor. Since 2007, he has invested in over thirty companies, sometimes as lead investor, and sits on the board of some of these as a non-executive. He is a Cambridge angel, a member of Cambridge Capital Group, a Henley Business Angel, and sits on Oxford Capital Partners’ Investor’s committee. In terms of unremunerated charity and not-for-profit work, he is Honorary Treasurer of Regent’s Park College (Oxford), sits on the finance committee of Kellogg College (Oxford), is the Registered Treasurer of the Liberal Democrats, a non-executive Director of the Ski Club of Great Britain, and is a National rowing Umpire. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, skiing, flying helicopters, and aeroplanes although not all at the same time.

Christian Bunke

Christian has been involved with dozens of startups as co-founder or advisor being based in the Cambridge Tech cluster for two decades. He is currently the CEO and co-founder of Aalbun, one of UK's leading legaltech startups, and previously set up and grew Basck an IP Firm now with offices in 6 countries supporting more than 500 startups. Christian is an European Trade Mark Attorney, has a Mech Eng, University of South Australia, and an MBA from the University of Cambridge.
